Halifax Harbour Bridges seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure bridge safety and functionality. This full time role involves varied maintenance tasks in a dynamic and safety-conscious environment.
In this role, you will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, tackling the maintenance, operation, and repair of crucial equipment and structures associated with bridge systems. You'll also be responsible for effective snow removal during winter months, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. A minimum of 2 years in maintenance or construction roles is required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform the operation and maintenance of HHB structures
• Utilize vehicles and equipment for snow and ice removal
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections
• Support traffic control measures during maintenance work
• Engage in required safety training and certifications
Requirements:
• 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in construction
• Valid Class 3 NS Driver's License and Class 5 with clear record
• Successfully pass background checks and physical assessments
• Ability to work in extreme conditions and heights
• Must demonstrate reliability and strong service orientation
