Become a pivotal part of the Integrated Domestic Violence Response Team as a Social Worker at enCompass Community Safety Agency. This role addresses the needs of high-risk domestic violence victims through crisis intervention and case management.
Working closely with YWCA Edmonton and local law enforcement, you will provide essential services that promote victim safety and stability. The position requires expert knowledge in domestic violence dynamics, helping to navigate complex community resources and support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer crisis intervention and management for immediate safety
• Conduct detailed risk assessments tailored to client needs
• Build cooperative relationships with clients and agencies
• Engage with Edmonton Police Services for coordinated intervention
• Train staff on domestic violence-related practices and policies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, MSW preferred
• Minimum of 5 years in complex case management
• Active membership in the Social Workers Association of Alberta
• Clear Criminal Record and industry-standard background checks
• Skills in crisis intervention and cultural sensitivity
