Become a pivotal part of the Community Living Society by taking on the role of Community Living Counsellor. Support adults with disabilities through dedicated person-centered care and community activities in a full-time capacity.
You will engage directly with individuals, assisting them in achieving their life goals and fostering greater independence. This role encompasses direct support in personal care, household duties, and community outings, as well as maintaining detailed records of their daily progress.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one support for life aspirations
• Conduct personal care, including bathing and meal prep
• Facilitate outings for leisure, employment, and volunteerism
• Record daily activities and track individual advancements
• Encourage individuals to enhance their life skills and independence
Requirements:
• Possession of a Class 5 driver’s license (Class 4 preferred)
• First Aid and CPR certification needed
• Transparent criminal record check required (paid by CLS)
• Access to reliable transportation
• Experience in person-centered support and crisis intervention is a plus
