Position : Full time
Hours : 7:30am – 3:00pm
Compensation :$30.00 per hour
Start Date : September 2026

School Year : 2026-2027

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide a caring, safe, and nurturing atmosphere within the classroom and throughout the school.
Prepare and maintain an organized and inviting Montessori learning environment.
Plan and present developmentally appropriate Montessori lessons and activities.
Observe each child's interests, development, and individual learning needs.
Maintain accurate records, including observations, lesson plans, and student progress.
Guide children's behaviour respectfully and positively in accordance with Montessori principles.
Encourage independence, confidence, responsibility, and respect for others.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, colleagues, and school administration.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and prepare written progress reports when required.




Follow all Silver Ridge Montessori policies and provincial childcare licensing requirements.
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and dedicated teaching team.
QUALIFICATIONS Full British Columbia Early Childhood Educator certification.
Montessori teaching diploma.
AMI- or MACTE-recognized Montessori training.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Clear criminal record check.
Previous Montessori classroom experience is preferred.
