Join the Government of Alberta as an Intermediate Data Engineer, working on the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS). This role is primarily remote, requiring some in-person collaboration in Edmonton once a month.

In this position, you will contribute to the modernization efforts of the Government of Alberta by designing and developing robust Azure data platforms. Your expertise with ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics-ready datasets will be vital for supporting compliance monitoring and data governance, with a solid emphasis on security and performance testing.

Key Responsibilities:



• Design and implement Azure data architecture for optimal performance • Build ETL pipelines utilizing Azure Databricks and Data Factory • Develop data workflows using Python (PySpark) • Integrate complex data systems such as APIs and ServiceNow • Implement data security and governance best practices

Requirements: • Relevant degree in Computer Science or similar • 3+ years designing analytics-ready data platforms • 4+ years of experience with Git version control • 2+ years working with Databricks governance • 5+ years of Python programming and SQL expertise
