Duties
- Deliver engaging classroom lessons on trucking regulations, safety protocols, vehicle maintenance, and industry best practices
- Conduct hands-on driving training sessions in various vehicle maneuvers, including backing, turning, and highway driving
- Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills
- Develop tailored lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and accommodate diverse learning styles
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress reports
- Ensure all training activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Foster a positive learning workplace that motivates students to achieve their full potential
Requirements
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for instructional purposes
- Prior classroom experience or teaching background is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of trucking regulations, safety procedures, and vehicle operation techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts
- Ability to demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching others
- Ability to operate training vehicles safely in various conditions and environments
