Underground Development Supervisor– 2026-113
Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking an Underground Development Supervisor to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.

As part of the Underground Management Team, the Development Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating underground mining operations to ensure safe and efficient production. The Underground Supervisor manages a team of underground miners, coordinates drilling and blasting activities, and implements safety protocols to minimize risks. This role involves monitoring production targets, evaluating equipment performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
- Promote a strong safety culture through compliance, inspections, and safety meetings.
- Supervise, train, and mentor underground crews to support safe and efficient operations.
- Coordinate underground activities to meet production targets and optimize resources.
- Manage equipment allocation, maintenance, and performance to ensure reliability.
- Oversee development drilling and blasting activities in line with safety and productivity standards.
- Track and report on production, equipment performance, and shift activities.
- Ensure material quality standards are consistently met.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Maintain compliance with all mining regulations, permits, and company policies.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support overall site performance.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and 15+ years underground experience.
- 5+ years underground mining experience with progressive responsibility and supervisory experience.
- Relevant safety certifications such as Mine Supervisor, First Aid, and Blasting considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of underground mining methods, equipment, and drilling and blasting techniques.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide crews.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with teams and management.
- Ability to identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of explosives handling and safe storage practices in compliance with safety protocols.
- Awareness of slip, trip, and fall risks in underground environments.
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies such as fires, incidents, or evacuations.
- Understanding of ground control practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Compensation and Benefits: We offer a market-competitive salary of $120,000 per year, plus a monthly shift crossover premium, along with an annual discretionary short-term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
