Job Description: The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for the effective administration, support, and optimization of the organization’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system and other HR Information Systems. This role ensures that our systems are configured, maintained, and leveraged to support HR operations, reporting, compliance and overall business goals. The HR Systems Analyst works within an HRDS team to support HR, IT, payroll, benefits, and other stakeholders. Examples of responsibilities include streamlining processes, improving data accuracy, upholding operating standards, and delivering system changes that balance risk and digital employee experience.
What will you do? As part of a team, administer and maintain the system(s), primarily Workday, to include security, business processes/workflows, and configuration




Manage and track HR system related service and/or product enhancement requests and incidents through Jira (or other ticketing system) ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders in accordance with our operating guidelines
Partner with HR and business teams to identify process improvements and system enhancements
Create, manage, and distribute HR reports and dashboards to support decision-making and compliance
Maintain data integrity through regular audits, testing, and system updates
Partner and/or support cyclical HR processes such as talent management, compensation planning, and benefits administration
What you will need to succeed? 0+ years of experience with HCM/HRIS systems configuration, Workday experience a plus
Familiarity with ticket management tools such as Jira or Service Now
Experience, or ability to adapt and learn, in participating in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and planning initiatives
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and intermediate level with Excel
Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
Salary Range: 65,000/65 000 - 105,000/105 000
