Job Purpose: Reporting to the Manager of Finance and as part of the accounting team, the Accounting Assistant is responsible for general accounting for the North End Community Health Centre (NECHC), supporting the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values. The Accounting Assistant works collaboratively with third-party organizations, vendors, and colleagues to coordinate the day-to-day financial operations of NECHC.
Education and Experience: Post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent work experience in accounting or a related arearequired.
Solid administrative experience and demonstrated computer proficiency required.
Computer skills are essential, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) at an intermediate level.
Upper-intermediate to advanced Excel skills would be an asset.
Experience with accounting software. History with Xero Accounting software would be an asset.
Experience with accounts payable and credit card reconciliation
