Job details
Bear Country Property Management is looking for a Maintenance Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department, its projects, day-to-day maintenance and the maintenance attendants.
Primary Responsibilities
Can complete minor electrical repairs and plumbing tasks
Identify maintenance needs and tend to requests throughout the properties
Troubleshoot and resolve product, service & maintenance related problems as well as equipment
Recommend products and services to clients to fulfill needs, as well as order and arrange installation of products and services
Consult with clients and provide on-going maintenance
Estimating costs of maintenance jobs, as well as estimating and calculating costs of products and services
Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning/garbage removal, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal
Oversee, plan, direct and assist in the installation, maintenance & repair of real-estate infrastructures including machinery, equipment, electrical and mechanical systems
Performs repairs of buildings and equipment, small household appliances & electronics
Complete daily and weekly unit inspections
Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventative maintenance programs
Respond to emergency maintenance requests
Assist with renovations, repair drywall, paint, assemble/install furniture, recommend products for the renovation
Provide input into product design and maintenance projects where goods and services are tailored to suit specific client needs
Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service
Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff
Supervise activities being completed by maintenance staff
Organize and maintain inventory
Qualifications
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Professional with strong communication and customer service skills and the ability to work under limited supervision
Must be able to work at height - man-lift & roof access
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage a team
Experience working with concrete & painting considered an asset
Mechanical/Plumbing/Carpentry and/or electrical experience an asset but not required
Valid class 5 BC driver?s license ? Clear drivers record
Minimum 1 year commitment
Computer skills, specifically with Microsoft programs, monitoring and tracking software and hotel reservation software
Strong work ethic with the ability to follow direction, work independently, and in a team environment, as well as manage a team
Ability to work in all weather conditions, in a fast-paced environment and physically fit
Appropriate outdoor wear (boots, rain pants, etc.) are required (not Provided)
Shirt, sweater & jacket with company logo will be provided
Training will be provided for the right candidate.
You must be legally entitled to work in Canada without restrictions.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $27.00 per hour
