SaskAbilities is hiring a Mentor for the Partners in Employment program in Saskatoon. This role focuses on providing critical support and guidance to participants with disabilities through person-centered planning.
As a Mentor, you will develop and execute employment plans aimed at empowering individuals to overcome barriers to employment. Your duties include overseeing participant progress, onsite mentoring, and facilitating educational workshops that improve interpersonal communication. Identifying and implementing necessary accommodations will also be key to ensuring the success of each participant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement individual employment skill plans
• Provide career mentoring and support to participants
• Track and evaluate participant development and needs
• Facilitate communication among support networks
• Encourage self-management capabilities in participants
Requirements:
• Disability Support Worker/Rehabilitation Worker Certificate or equivalent
• Preferred 2-3 years in Human Services
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of community resources available
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle needed
