Make an impact at the Township of Oro-Medonte as a full time Safety and People Programs Coordinator. Coordinate safety initiatives and promote wellness to enhance workplace engagement.

In this vital role, reporting to the Director of People and Culture, you will manage safety program audits and recruit talent to fill key roles. You’ll also take charge of the Community of Belonging and Wellness programs while ensuring compliance with occupational health standards. Your efforts will be pivotal in promoting a culture of belonging and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development of wellness and Community of Belonging programs
• Oversee comprehensive recruitment and hiring processes
• Coordinate Joint Health and Safety Committee activities




• Audit and improve safety programs and initiatives
• Ensure safety procedures are certified and updated

Requirements:
• At least 3 years in a relevant safety or HR role
• Degree/diploma in HR, Labour Relations, or related field
• Certification such as CHRP/CHRL or CRSP preferred
• Strong project management and communication abilities
• Clean Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Background Check
