We are currently seeking compassionate and responsible individuals to join our team as Registered Nurses. As an RN at Bay Haven, you will be responsible for providing quality care to our residents. To qualify for this position, you must hold a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possess experience in long-term care and/or working with seniors in a facility. Experience with Point Click Care and good communication skills, including active listening, are preferred. The ability to document accurately and timely, take initiative, and work as a team player, as well as the experience with supervising, managing, and leading employees, is also desirable.
The successful candidate must demonstrate leadership ability and initiative with comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices and techniques as they relate to long-term care. Candidates must have strong critical thinking skills and be solution-oriented.
Candidates will possess time management and multitasking skills and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Computer literacy required.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
Proven experience as a Registered Nurse
Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and patient-focused approach
Responsibilities:
Monitor residents' health conditions
Administer medications and treatments
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals
Educate residents and their families on health management
Maintain accurate resident records
Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety standards
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
