Support clients at risk for Tuberculosis with PHSA as a Clinical TB Nurse. Utilize expertise in nursing and communication to assess, manage, and counsel patients in a vital public health role.
The TB Nurse position at Provincial Health Services Authority requires specialized nursing skills and excellent interpersonal abilities. You will be involved in assessment, treatment, case management, and training healthcare providers in TB management. As a resource, you will coordinate referrals and participate in research initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care and education on TB prevention
• Conduct assessments and gather clinical data for diagnosis
• Perform procedures like testing and specimen collection
• Administer treatments according to clinical guidelines
• Maintain comprehensive client records and documentation
Requirements:
• Registration with BCCNP as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate from a certified School of Nursing
• Minimum one year in Public Health or related field
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license for travel
• Knowledge of TB and infection control practices
