As a Lands Manager, you will be instrumental in implementing effective land solutions for MGBHLM. This role requires collaboration with Chief and Council, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and legislation while developing strategies that focus on community resource needs. Key responsibilities involve negotiating land instruments and environmental evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee a data management system for land records
• Prepare land management agreements such as leases and permits
• Assess land use applications for compliance with standards
• Collaborate on land use planning and implementation strategies
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of land transactions and compliance
Requirements:
• Certification in Professional Land Management preferred
• Degree in resource management or similar fields
• 1-2 years of relevant land management experience
• Excellent negotiation and organization skills
• Proficiency in following policies and procedures
