Infosys Public Services is seeking a User Experience Designer SME. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an significant role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications

- Candidate must be located within commuting distance in Ottawa, ON or be willing to relocate to the area.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

The User Experience (UX) Design SME provides specialized advisory expertise in inclusive, user-centered design, usability optimization, accessibility, and navigation design for public-facing digital services built on Microsoft Power Pages. This resource advises the Project Team on the design, configuration, and optimization of self-service portals and digital experiences that support public users, clients, service providers, and stakeholders. The role focuses on improving usability, accessibility, findability, task completion efficiency, and overall user satisfaction while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and Government of Ontario digital service requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Provide advisory services for the design and optimization of public-facing portals using Microsoft Power Pages.
- Advise the OPGT Project Team on user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, and digital service best practices.
- Develop recommendations to improve navigation, information architecture, content organization, and user workflows.
- Conduct user experience assessments and identify opportunities to improve accessibility, usability, and task completion rates.
- Support the design of intuitive self-service experiences for OPGT clients, the public, service providers, and external stakeholders.




- Provide recommendations related to responsive design, mobile accessibility, multilingual considerations, and digital inclusion.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, accessibility specialists, architects, developers, and project teams to ensure consistent user experiences across workstreams.
- Advise on wireframes, user journeys, personas, navigation models, and interaction design patterns.
- Ensure recommendations align with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), OPS Digital Accessibility Standard (ODAS), WCAG requirements, and Ontario Digital Service Standards.
- Support usability testing, accessibility reviews, user feedback analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inclusive, user-centered design and navigation optimization for public-facing portals.
- Demonstrated experience designing and advising on Microsoft Power Pages implementations.
- Expertise in user experience design, interaction design, information architecture, usability testing, and customer journey mapping.
- Experience providing strategic and advisory services for digital transformation and self-service portal initiatives.

- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement solutions.
- Familiarity with user research, analytics, prototyping tools, and service design methodologies.
- Accessibility certifications or UX-related certifications such as CPACC, HFI, UX-PM, UX-C, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Power Pages to support self-service portal design and implementation.
- Experience providing advisory services to project teams responsible for portal development, digital service delivery,



and citizen-facing solutions.
- Experience designing user experiences that improve accessibility, ease of navigation, task completion, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- The OPGT specifically requires advisory support for self-service and portal integration initiatives using Power Pages and for providing consistent user experiences and usability across workstreams.

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows: In Mississauga, ON: $92,740 to $123,375.
