Join Maple Leaf Foods as a Health and Safety Coordinator, enhancing our Occupational Health & Safety Program and Environmental initiatives. Ensure compliance and provide essential training to promote workplace safety.

In this role reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you'll support staff and implement safety protocols to foster a protected environment. You'll conduct job hazard analyses, deliver safety training, and assist in incident investigations, ensuring adherence to regulations. Your contributions will enhance our environmental standards and workplace safety across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support on the production floor for safety initiatives
• Develop and deliver occupational health training programs




• Conduct job hazard and physical demands analyses
• Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Produce reports and manage regulatory compliance

Requirements:
• Grade 12 with related post-secondary education
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Understanding of Manitoba environmental laws
