As the Indigenous Liaison Coordinator, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Indigenous Relations. This critical position emphasizes collaboration with the Williams Treaty First Nations and Saugeen Ojibway Nation. Your responsibilities will include implementing the Indigenous Participation Plans, enhancing community partnerships, and ensuring cultural sensitivity in all communications related to our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Indigenous Relations Strategy implementation
• Assist in developing community partnership initiatives
• Coordinate training and employment opportunities
• Facilitate communication with rights holder communities
• Perform recordkeeping and data analysis
Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years in Indigenous engagement
• Familiarity with local Indigenous culture and governance
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Indigenous lived experience is an asset
