Join Dalhousie University as a 3rd Class Power Engineer in Truro, Nova Scotia, a full-time role dedicated to the operation and maintenance of thermal plant systems and equipment. This position is key to ensuring safety and efficiency in energy management.

Reporting to the Central Plant Manager, you will manage boilers, chillers, and other critical systems, performing necessary maintenance, monitoring operations, and responding to alarms as needed. Your expertise will contribute to a clean and efficient working workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain all thermal energy systems
• Monitor and ensure safe equipment operation
• Conduct maintenance and cleanliness inspections
• Address alarms and equipment issues promptly




• Perform required water treatment control duties

Requirements:
• Standardized 3rd Class Power Engineer's certificate
• Three years of relevant experience in thermal systems
• Understanding of Johnson Controls Metasys
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including overtime
