Reporting to the Principal of SNP Secondary School, the Social Counsellor will provide essential cultural teachings and mental health support. This role focuses on developing student success plans, solving social or emotional issues, and promoting Indigenous identity. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to guide students and utilize community resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop workshops on mental health and executive skills
• Conduct individualized counselling sessions for student support




• Collaborate with staff for success plans and student attendance
• Provide coping strategies for emotional challenges
• Lead crisis response initiatives during emergencies

Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work; Master's preferred
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role
• Registered with Ontario College of Social Workers
• Familiarity with Indigenous culture and language
• Criminal Record Check required prior to employment
