Contribute to the well-being of Driftpile Cree Nation children as a Customary Care Worker at Chief Kinosew Awasak Mikiwahp. This role advocates for family permanency and community-connected care solutions.
As a Customary Care Worker, you will closely collaborate with the Post Majority & Family Community Preservation Director. Your main focus will be to assess and support customary care homes for children who are without parental care, while working alongside intervention staff and community partners. You will also provide ongoing training and support to customary care families to enhance service effectiveness and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop recruitment strategies for customary care homes
• Engage with families to implement case plans
• Support the development of training programs
• Maintain documentation in line with agency policies
• Collaborate on community-based initiatives for child welfare
Requirements:
• Social Work Diploma with at least 3 years' experience
• Experience in child and family intervention
• Familiarity with Indigenous child welfare laws
• Clean Class 5 Driver's License required
• Explicit Vulnerable Sector check mandatory
Use your expertise in case management and community collaboration to drive positive changes for Driftpile families and children.
