CTYS is seeking a Mental Health Access Coordinator for Youth to provide critical services in the youth justice environment across the GTA. This full-time role requires flexible evening hours for effective youth engagement.

As a member of the YJ Mental Health ACCESS team, you will focus on brief mental health assessments and interventions for youth referred from Open Detention and Custody sites. Your role will involve working collaboratively with youth, parents, and detention staff to develop individualized action plans. You’ll also conduct workshops and ensure access to appropriate mental health resources.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assessments and interventions for youth in custody
• Create tailored treatment plans in collaboration with stakeholders




• Deliver psychoeducation to families about mental health
• Facilitate educational workshops for detention staff
• Maintain accurate records in line with policies

Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related discipline
• Minimum three years of experience in mental health
• Solid interpersonal skills for building rapport
• Background in trauma-informed approaches
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle access
