Support community members in Merritt, BC as a Community Integration Specialist with the BC Public Service. This full-time position requires a commitment to serving underserved populations through in office engagement and outreach.
As part of the Community Integration Services Branch, you'll engage directly with clients, utilizing comprehensive case management strategies to assist individuals in navigating social services. Your work will focus on lowering barriers for those facing homelessness, trauma, or mental health challenges, while collaborating with local partners to enrich community connections and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement intensive case management and service coordination
• Conduct outreach to connect individuals to essential services
• Work closely with Indigenous communities in service delivery
• Perform housing inspections as part of client support
• Promote diversity and inclusion in all community interactions
Requirements:
• Secondary education with three years of related experience
• Experience with marginalized populations, especially Indigenous
• Knowledge and experience in community-focused roles
• Background in healthcare, social work, or outreach services
• Direct experience with poverty or addiction preferred
Foster empowerment and community integration as a specialist in Merritt.
