Reporting To: VP, People & Operations
Purpose: To enable BC Parks Foundation to work smarter by ensuring its technology and systems are secure, well-managed, and aligned to organizational goals — connecting people, tools, and expertise to drive efficiency and impact across the organization.
Overview
BC Parks Foundation is the official charitable partner and conservation financing mechanism to British Columbia’s world-class system of parks and protected areas. Our role is to build a diverse and active community of support. Our mission is to create the greatest system of parks and Indigenous protected areas in the world.
We Are:
A charitable, purpose-driven organization passionate about enjoying and protecting nature in British Columbia
People who value spark, respect with caring, reciprocity, and greatness
A warm, positive, hard-working team who operate in a spirit of gratitude and celebration
Connected to a wide variety of community groups, First Nations, businesses, governments and other partners
You Are:
A connector and translator — someone who understands technology deeply enough to ask the right questions, and communicates clearly enough to bring non-technical colleagues along
Organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture
Curious about emerging technology, including AI, and energized by finding practical ways to apply it in a mission-driven environment
Someone who knows when to roll up your sleeves and when to bring in the right expert
A collaborative team player who builds trust across the organization and makes people feel supported, not managed
Role Summary

The role spans governance, software portfolio management, infrastructure oversight, and technology projects including AI and automation. The Manager works closely with staff at all levels to understand their needs, support good decision-making, and ensure the Foundation is getting the most from its technology investments.

Support the optimization of existing software to improve efficiency and user experience
Lead the ongoing management and optimization of SharePoint as BCPF’s primary information management platform, ensuring alignment across teams on how information is stored, shared, and accessed, and maintaining appropriate privacy and access controls
Identify and implement AI solutions and automations that improve workflow efficiency for teams across the Foundation, supporting staff in building confidence with new tools
Manage BCPF's relationship with the managed IT services provider and oversee the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and fit for purpose across in-office, remote, and hybrid working; manage office equipment and staff hardware requests
