In this dynamic role at Extendicare, the Licensed Practical Nurse will contribute to resident care planning, assessments, and direct care. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Care to ensure compliance with care standards while addressing residents’ needs effectively. Your analytical and communication skills will be pivotal in this rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver planned nursing care following provincial regulations
• Ensure care plans and assessments are updated regularly
• Administer treatments and maintain records accurately
• Coordinate resident care assignments within the nursing team
• Educate residents and families about care processes
Requirements:
• Active registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Preferred experience in senior care environments
• Proven organizational and time management skills
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support required
• Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory
