Support education and care at Williams Lake First Nation's Little Chiefs Daycare as an Early Childhood Education Assistant. This full-time position emphasizes nurturing children's development within a cultural framework.
In this role, you will oversee daily daycare operations while ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and promoting a secure environment for children. You will be instrumental in planning activities that incorporate cultural and academic learning. Additionally, your administrative skills will assist in maintaining effective communication with families and supporting the overall operation of the daycare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations and policy compliance
• Facilitate culturally relevant educational programming
• Assist with attendance tracking and child records management
• Support parent communication and coordination
• Maintain a safe and organized daycare environment
Requirements:
• Valid ECEA Certificate and Food Safe Certificate required
• Relevant experience of six months to one year
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of First Nations socio-economic issues
Contribute to the growth and care of children at WLFN through educational programming and administrative excellence.
