Join UBC’s Facilities team as a Landscape Architect, ensuring the maintenance and stewardship of urban landscapes. Your role will integrate planning, design, and operational needs for sustainable campus development.
Reporting to the Director of Municipal Services, you'll play a vital role in multiple projects across campus. This position focuses on effective collaboration between planning and maintenance departments to safeguard UBC’s investment in landscape assets over the long term. Your insights will shape urban forestry strategies and public realm decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement maintenance and renewal plans
• Assess site conditions and lifecycle costs
• Liaise between planning, policy, and operational teams
• Coordinate training and operational handover phases
• prepare project designs, reports, and recommendations
Requirements:
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in landscape architecture
• Six years of relevant experience preferred
• Registration with the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects
• Familiarity with sustainable landscape practices
• Robust communication and facilitation skills
