Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences is looking for a Recreation Therapist specialized in forensic care. Engage with patients to implement therapeutic recreation programs that support rehabilitation and recovery.

In this role, you will provide critical recreational therapy services within the Forensic Rehabilitation Unit. Your focus will include developing individualized programs that promote social skills and functional engagement for patients dealing with complex mental health issues. As part of a dedicated team, your contributions will directly influence treatment success and patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and evaluate recreation therapy programs
• Provide leisure education and participation strategies




• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary care team
• Assess patient needs and program requirements
• Serve both forensic and community-based clients

Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Therapeutic Recreation
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• TRO membership is mandatory
• Knowledge of recovery in mental health
• Current CPR Level HCP certification required
