You will play a key role in the successful operations of the Island Gold District, reporting to the Senior Resource Geologist. This position involves developing and enhancing geological and grade block models, integrating essential data for effective mine planning, and supporting both underground and open pit operations. You'll ensure high standards in quality assurance and contribute to the continuous improvement of our modeling processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and update geological models for resource estimation
• Integrate production and drilling data for model accuracy
• Ensure proper reconciliation between models and actual outputs
• Support district resource updates and maintain internal reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on geological projects
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related field
• 3–5 years of mining experience with 1–2 years in resource geology
• Knowledge of Datamine, Acquire, and Microsoft Office
• Eligibility for GIT or P.Geo preferred
• Certifications for underground mine work mandatory
