Lead literacy initiatives in Rocky Mountain School District as a Mentor Teacher for K-4 students. This full-time position is focused on enhancing teacher capabilities through collaboration and coaching.
Beginning September 8, 2026, and lasting until June 30, 2027, your role will center on building inclusive, equitable literacy environments among diverse learners. You will work in partnership with Principals, Teachers, and district staff, aligned with the BC Curriculum and supporting Indigenous perspectives in literacy education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote research-informed literacy instructional practices
• Provide classroom observation and actionable feedback
• Facilitate qualified growth opportunities
• Assist in implementing literacy frameworks and resources
• Collaborate in developing district-wide assessment practices
Requirements:
• Strong grasp of literacy development theories
• Experience with differentiated instruction
• Ability to analyze student learning data
• Proven mentoring skills for adult learners
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
Support effective literacy instruction across the district by mentoring educators.
