Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the MRO Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) items to ensure the smooth operation of MacDon’s facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

- Diligently processes Purchase Orders for all maintenance requests andsendinatimelymannertomaintainon-timedeliverytointernal MacDon customers.
- Maintainssupplieracknowledgementsandconfirmssupply.
- Workcloselywiththemaintenancedepartment,providingtimely service to requirements.
- Managecontractsandaccountsrelatedtomaintenanceservices.
- HighlightsandelevatesanysupplyriskstoProcurementSpecialistor Supply Chain Manager.
- Develop and maintain excellent vendor partnerships, conduct regularmeetingswithvendorstostrengthenrelationshipsandhave them performing to required standards.
- WorkwithSupplierandMaintenanceonvalidatingandapproving any alternate material/product prior to implementation.




- Obtaincostsavingsthroughtrackingandidentificationof opportunities.
- WorkwithAccountingtoresolveanyinvoicediscrepancies.Review, validate and approve MRO related invoices (within approved thresholds).
- OtherdutiesasassignedbytheManager.

Qualifications

Education

Post-secondaryeducationandsupplychaintraining preferred.

Skills & Experience

- TwoyearsManufacturingand/orProcurement experience.
- WorkingknowledgeofMRP
- ContractManagementexperiencepreferred.
- Word,ExcelandOutlookknowledgeessential.
- Candidateshouldbeaninnovativeself-starterandbe able to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team.
- Excellentorganizationalandtimemanagementskills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
