Job Description Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto
Duration: 12 Months
Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Senior Manager, Content Enablement to create and maintain content frameworks and playbooks that cover editorial standards, content formats, channel-specific guidance, and optimization principles. The successful candidate will have the prospect to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in the role: As Senior Manager, Content Enablement, you will be the engine behind the bank's ability to produce high-quality content at scale. You'll help to build the systems, frameworks, and standards that empower marketing and digital marketing teams to create consistently excellent content - with speed, confidence, and strategic alignment.
This role is for a builder and connector. You will help to develop playbooks, tonal guidelines, and repeatable frameworks that lift the capability of every team that touches content in Personal Banking. You will also serve as the cross-LOB content intelligence hub - surfacing topic overlaps, identifying white space, and ensuring that the organization’s collective content efforts compound. Your skills as a content creator will also be called upon to create content, setting the quality bar and demonstrating best practices in action.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Content Frameworks & Best Practices Create and maintain content frameworks and playbooks that cover editorial standards, content formats, channel-specific guidance, optimization principles
Build and refine tonal guidelines and brand voice standards that enable teams to produce content that is both authentic to their audience and aligns with the broader the bank's brand.
Establish content quality standards, review checklists, and self-serve governance tools that allow teams to ship content efficiently
Enablement & Team Support Act as a strategic partner and content coach to teams, helping them build scalable internal content capabilities.
Design and deliver onboarding materials, workshops, and reference guides that upskill marketers on content best practices, SEO, regulatory standards, and audience-first writing.
Partner with SEO team to translate complex requirements (schema markup, structured data, semantic entity graphs) into plain-language guidance that non-technical content creators can act on independently.
Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to create streamlined, team-friendly compliance reference materials, reducing review cycle time without compromising regulatory standards.
Content Coordination Serve as the Personal Banking marketing's connector for content topics and themes - maintaining a living view of what is being produced, planned, and prioritized to surface overlaps, gaps, and opportunities.
Facilitate regular cross-LOB content alignment sessions to synchronize editorial priorities, share performance learnings, and coordinate on shared topics where a unified approach would serve the organization better than parallel efforts.
Maintain a content calendar that serves as the shared source of truth for what has been published, what is in flight, and what white space exists across the enterprise.
Content Production Generate written content directly when organizational priorities, speed-to-market requirements, or capability gaps make direct production the right call.
Performance & Continuous Improvement Track and analyze the performance of content produced using the frameworks and playbooks you develop, using results to continuously refine guidance and close gaps.
Champion a test-and-learn culture,
building feedback loops between content teams and performance data so that best practices evolve in step with algorithm changes and audience behaviour.
Must Have Skills: 7+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, or content operations, ideally within a large financial institution, regulated industry, or complex matrix organization.
Demonstrated experience building content systems, playbooks, or frameworks that have measurably improved the output quality or production efficiency of a team - not just managing content yourself.
Strong working knowledge of modern SEO, and semantic search principles, with the ability to translate technical concepts into accessible, actionable guidance for non-technical writers and marketers.
Excellent writing skills across a range of formats and tones, with the ability to produce polished financial content directly when required.
Data-driven approach to content: proficiency with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMrush) to evaluate content performance and translate findings into practical team guidance.
Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the ability to build structured systems and clarity in environments that are still maturing their content practices.
Nice-To-Have Skills: Editorial background in media
Education: Highest Education
