Join Fraser Health as an Intake Clinician focusing on children, youth, and young adults. This role emphasizes mental health support, cultural safety, and cooperative community engagement.
As an Intake Clinician, you will provide intake and assessment services within a trauma-informed framework. Your expertise will facilitate access to mental health and substance use services, while creating individual resource plans tailored to client needs. You will also engage in outreach, delivering brief interventions and supporting families through direct clinical services, promoting healing and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Screen referrals for children and youth mental health needs
• Assess risk to determine appropriate service referrals
• Maintain accurate intake data and statistics
• Complete referrals to external mental health agencies
• Provide supportive counseling and group therapy services
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology or Social Work
• Two years experience with mental health and addiction issues
• Valid B.C. Driver’s License
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery approaches
• Proficiency in client assessment tools
