Join a dedicated safeguarding adults service as a Safeguarding Adults Practitioner focusing on high-quality, person-centered care. Collaborate with individuals, families, and professionals to foster safety and well-being.
This role will prioritize and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring effective safeguarding inquiries in compliance with the Care Act 2014. As a Best Interest Assessor, you will uphold the standards set by the NEL MCA/DoLS panel while managing risks and promoting independence for vulnerable individuals. Collaboration and communication with various stakeholders will be integral for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a diverse caseload with defensible decision making
• Act as Best Interest Assessor in accordance with MCA/DoLS
• Lead strategy meetings with relevant partner agencies
• Offer advocacy support and referrals when needed
• Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports for panels
Requirements:
• Experience in safeguarding adults or relevant fields
• Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act and Care Act 2014
• Robust communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage high-risk situations effectively
• Familiarity with healthcare support and social care standards
