This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the holistic well-being of families in the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory by embedding Anishnaabe values into child services. Collaborate with a dedicated team to design and implement culturally fitting wellness programs. Accurate documentation and confidentiality will be core aspects of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide culturally tailored services to children and families
• Develop Wellness Plans incorporating traditional practices
• Facilitate cultural ceremonies for community and staff
• Maintain cultural integrity in program delivery
• Ensure proper client record-keeping and confidentiality
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Services or related field preferred
• At least three years of experience in cultural programming
• Experience working within First Nations organizations
• Skilled in delivering cultural teachings and ceremonies
• Proficiency in Anishinaabemowin is a plus
