Make a meaningful impact at the Kelowna Women’s Shelter as a Frontline Support Worker. This role centers on supporting women and children escaping domestic abuse through advocacy and crisis intervention.

The Kelowna Women’s Shelter is seeking a passionate Frontline Support Worker to join our dedicated team. You will provide essential services, including crisis intervention, safety planning, and information to women and their children at risk of domestic abuse. Your leadership will help create a safe workplace in our Transition House while liaising with various agencies to ensure comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Answer crisis calls and assess urgent needs
• Admit and orient women and children into the facility




• Offer emotional support through active listening
• Monitor safety and resolve conflicts between residents
• Maintain household tasks and documentation

Requirements:
• Diploma in human/social service field with 1 year experience
• Intermediate First Aid certification required
• Criminal Records Check for vulnerable people
• Union membership is mandatory
