This part-time, permanent position offers you the opportunity to work closely with patients in the NICU and follow-up program. You will be responsible for offering counseling to families navigating postpartum stress and adjustment challenges. Your role will include assessments, advocacy for resources, and collaboration with internal health professionals to ensure comprehensive family care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Counsel families undergoing prenatal and postnatal stressors
• Conduct psychosocial evaluations and brief interventions
• Advocate for community resources and partner services
• Mentor clinical students and lead educational initiatives
• Collaborate actively with interprofessional teams
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work necessary
• Licensed with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
• Minimum of two years clinical social work experience
• Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally protected care
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
