Lead youth outreach initiatives as a Youth Support Officer with the Native Fishing Association in West Vancouver. Focus on equipping young Indigenous fishermen and fisherwomen with essential business skills and support.

This full time position, available until March 31, 2029, involves outreach and support for young Indigenous individuals seeking to navigate the fishing industry. You will provide comprehensive training, assist in funding applications, and foster a supportive community for economic development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate outreach to young Indigenous fishers across BC
• Lead training sessions and business workshops
• Help clients with loan products and applications




• Offer direct support in business plan development
• Manage records and report on program impacts

Requirements:
• 3 to 5 years in fishing or financial services
• Preferred education in business or community development
• Cultural competency regarding Indigenous histories
• Knowledge of funding programs for Indigenous youth
• Maintaining strict client confidentiality and trust

Support Indigenous entrepreneurs in the fishing industry with the Native Fishing Association through resourceful outreach.
