Job Description The Production Supervisor will provide front-line leadership within the Production Department. This role is responsible for overseeing production activities to ensure the highest levels of efficiency, quality, and safety. The Production Supervisor will work to maximize production output while ensuring adherence to company policies, objectives, and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities Maintaining a high level of awareness on safety, environmental and process compliance
Leading a positive change effort to improved performance by motivating, recognizing, and inspiring others to be effective and efficient in their activities.
A champion of hazard identification, evaluation and control through the behaviour-based safety and risk assessment programs (FLRAs, BBSO's and unsafe condition/events)
Lead and direct all production operations.
Increasing employee engagement and improve the labour relations climate through participation in continuous improvement (get suggestions, report problems, participate in team problem solving sessions)
Driving accountability for both results and actions of direct reports through education, motivation, documentation and behaviour-based coaching
Participating in Root-Cause Analysis with team members, maintenance and engineering. Work with and support other department goals
Improving housekeeping and champion the 5S program
Facilitating effective meetings and team discussions
Communicating with all levels both internal and external to the organization effectively
Ensure proper documentation and complete reports (compliance, checklists, production reports, spreadsheets, metrics, incident investigations, etc.)
Developing and implementing SWI training and auditing
Qualifications Post-secondary degree/diploma, preferable in industrial technology or engineering, business administration, or management
Minimum of 3 years industrial leadership experience
Highly developed interpersonal, leadership, coaching, mentoring, delegation and people management skills
Excellent facilitation, time and project management, organizational,
analytical and decision-making skills, Exhibit the IKO Values (Performance, Integrity, Sharing Knowledge, Long-Term, Humility, Agility)
Experience with process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable
Demonstrated initiative and proven record of taking on projects in a proactive manner to reach strategic outcomes
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (OH&S;, workplace, labour standards)
Established PC and software skills in Microsoft Office applications
Experience working in an unionized environment
Surface Mine Rescue certification an asset, must have Mine Supervisor Certification (BC Ministry of Mines certification), OFA Level 3 Certification an asset
Work Schedule Monday - Thursday (Days): 44 hours
Monday - Wednesday (Nights): 36 hours
This is a rotating weekly work schedule.
