Kwantlen Polytechnic University seeks an Indigenous Artist, Writer, Journalist, or Knowledge-Keeper to enrich its Faculty of Arts. Share your skills, foster connections, and drive cultural events.
In this unique position, you will support Indigenous perspectives through research, events, and creative projects while engaging with students and faculty. Ideal for artists and writers, this residency encourages collaboration and innovation within the KPU community. Contribute to a supportive workplace while developing your artistic practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create events promoting Indigenous knowledge and arts
• Facilitate guest lectures showing your work
• Collaboratively support writers and artists twice a week
• Regular meetings with Faculty of Arts administration
• Encourage engagement across KPU departments
Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience in Indigenous knowledge
• A published work or significant project for writers
• Active artistic practice with community engagement
• Enthusiasm for collaborating and sharing knowledge
• Ability to travel between campuses necessary
