Lead environmental initiatives with Inuvialuit Regional Corporation as the Environmental Science and Policy Manager. Drive policy development and climate change adaptation across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.
This full time role reports to the Director of Innovation, Science and Climate Change and offers strategic leadership in environmental programs. The Manager will oversee research projects, secure funding, and enhance Inuvialuit participation in STEM. Your expertise in environmental science will guide the design of impactful policies and practices improving community well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead environmental research and policy development initiatives
• Manage climate change adaptation and clean energy projects
• Oversee partnerships and research funding applications
• Translate scientific data into actionable policies and programs
• Strengthen community engagement in environmental governance
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in environmental science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience
• 2 years of supervisory experience in a technical setting
• Proven experience working with Indigenous communities
• Strong communication skills with policy documentation expertise
