Make a meaningful impact at Native Child and Family Services of Toronto as a Child and Family Wellbeing Worker. This hybrid position focuses on crisis intervention and culturally rich support for Indigenous families.
In this full-time contract role, you’ll engage directly with families, providing assessments and advocating for culturally relevant services. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work paired with two years of experience is essential for success in this position. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, ensuring the needs of children and families are prioritized.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct immediate safety investigations for children
• Facilitate family meetings and consult with service providers
• Develop plans to enhance care and support for children
• Liaise with community resources for timely services
• Document case information for legal and service purposes
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in the field
• Familiarity with Indigenous community practices
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Access to a reliable vehicle
