GFL is seeking an Emergency Response Operator to provide specialized support in Bowmanville. Focus on impactful hazardous materials management and emergency response readiness.

In this role, you'll play an essential part in responding to various emergencies and conducting environmental clean-up activities. Your responsibilities will also involve performing chemical transfers and participating in safety training programs. Candidates with prior emergency response training and experience in hazardous materials are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
• Handle hazardous material incidents and mitigation activities
• Conduct technical rescues and chemical transfers efficiently
• Participate in health & safety training and team meetings




• Maintain safety standards during emergency operations
• Document all experiences accurately and timely

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred
• NFPA certifications relevant to hazardous materials
• DZ license and a clean driving record
• Willingness to work on-call during emergencies
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
