ThriftCo is a Christian thrift store serving the Ingersoll community through affordable goods and practical support. We support with our net proceeds the Sycamore Centre whose vision is to cultivate trust, foster hope, and share God’s restoring love by helping meet basic needs and providing practical assistance in our community.

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Associate to help keep donated goods moving from donation to the sales floor.

Position Summary The Warehouse Associate receives, sorts, cleans, prices, and organizes donated merchandise for sale. This is an active, physical role requiring attention to detail, dependability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and unload donations from vehicles and bins.

Sort donations by category and assess condition.

Identify sellable and non-sellable items according to store guidelines.

Clean, tag, price, and prepare merchandise for sale.

Move and stock merchandise between the warehouse and sales floor.

Assist with truck loading/unloading and occasional off-site pickups.

Break down and responsibly dispose of unsellable items and packaging.

Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work environment.

Safely use basic equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and box cutters.

Follow all health and safety procedures.

Work cooperatively with staff and volunteers while treating donors, customers,



and community members with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous warehouse, retail, or physical labour experience is an asset.

Valid driver’s licence required and a reliable insured vehicle.

Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and safely move larger or heavier items with appropriate assistance or equipment.

Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

Basic math skills for pricing and inventory.

Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and willing to learn.

Comfortable working in a busy, donation-driven environment.

Willingness to support ThriftCo’s Christian mission and its connection to the work of the Sycamore Centre.

Working Conditions

Active warehouse environment involving regular standing, bending, lifting, carrying, and moving merchandise. Work may involve dust, varying temperatures, and occasional outdoor loading and unloading.
