Senior Revenue Accountant Overview The Senior Revenue Accountant will play a key role in supporting core accounting functions including accounts receivable (AR), revenue recognition, and day-to-day financial operations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple responsibilities, ensure accuracy, and contribute to process improvements.
Primary Responsibilities Revenue & Accounts Receivable Prepare, compile, and send customer invoices in a timely manner and liaise with departments and customers on billing matters and credit memos
Manage accounts receivable processes, including monitoring AR aging and following up on outstanding balances
Support cash collections and maintain strong relationships with customers regarding billing inquiries
Perform monthly revenue reconciliations for subscription/license billings and other revenue streams
Assist in revenue recognition processes in accordance with GAAP
Other Responsibilities may include the following: Accounting Operations Support accounts payable (AP), including vendor invoice processing and payments
Assist with expense reports and employee reimbursements
Support payroll processing and related reconciliations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Participate in day-to-day accounting activities and general ledger maintenance
Financial Reporting & Close Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare journal entries,
reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance
Support preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Audit & Compliance Assist with external audits and provide required documentation
Support tax filings and compliance activities
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Process Improvement & Collaboration Document revenue and collections processes and recommend improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on billing and financial matters
Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and customers as required
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or doing CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
Experience with NetSuite accounting system
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
$70,000 - 100,000 CAD
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
