Enhance fire safety operations as a Fire Prevention Officer at YVR, specializing in inspections and compliance monitoring. This critical role aids in protecting the Sea Island community.

As part of YVR Fire & Rescue, you will use your technical skills to lead inspections, identify safety hazards, and ensure adherence to fire codes. By engaging with various stakeholders and providing public education, you will promote safety awareness throughout the airport area. Your proactive approach will enhance safety practices across all operations at YVR.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections and investigations
• Lead facility inspections to assess compliance with safety regulations
• Address fire safety concerns through thorough investigations




• Conduct training to enhance safety awareness among community members
• Collaborate with airport community for effective fire prevention strategies

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years in fire prevention with relevant technical education
• Completion of recognized fire service certifications
• Transparent BC Driver’s License and ability to maintain AVOP
• Strong understanding of building codes and fire safety regulations
• Effective leadership and communication skills
