Join ParaMed as a Public Health Immunization Nurse and contribute to improving community health in Waterloo-Wellington. This full time, six-month position emphasizes the application of your nursing expertise in immunizations and health promotion.

As an integral member of the Public Health Services team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating immunization programs. Responsibilities include administering vaccines, maintaining compliance with health regulations, and collaborating with health professionals for enhanced care standards. Effective communication and client advocacy are key to the role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct immunization clinics and observe clients
• Record immunization data in appropriate systems




• Provide guidance on adverse reactions and aftercare
• Follow cold chain protocols for vaccine storage
• Engage in continuous quality improvement efforts

Requirements:
• Active nursing registration with the CNO
• Prior experience in community care is a plus
• Access to transportation and a valid license
• Willingness to travel for client service
• Familiarity with public health policies and frameworks
