Commercial Logistic Inc. is an asset-based trucking company, offering both less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload (FTL) service to all points in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. We are a state-of-the-art forwarding, warehousing and distribution Company. We have a Warehouse Management System to include voice picking, interleaved put-away/replenishment and license plated inventory with RF scanning. Our automation also includes an ERP, CRM, Truckmate, Sage, Kronos applications to prime us for present and future expansions into other provinces. ContainerWorld actively supports Lean Six Sigma concepts.
Position: Jr Dispatcher-TruckLoad Services
No of positions 1
Days: Monday– Friday
Position Overview: Working independently with some guidance from the FTL Manager, the position is responsible for all of the administrative functions required by the FTL CLI fleets as well as being the afternoon dispatcher for the linehaul and Richmond Tractor Service fleets. This position will also provide support coverage for the full-time linehaul & Richmond Tractor Service dispatchers. The position is responsible for efficiency and effectiveness of own work and has considerable impact on short-term operations in his/her work area and some other departments. Has slight impact on the efficiency of long-term operations.
Duties: Administers and oversees the fleet records for the owner-operators and company equipment
Coordinating the movement of full load traffic




Administers the fleet licensing and insurance program for all fleet operations
Administers fuel program for all fleet operations
General Duties, as required
Required Skills, Knowledge and Competencies : Specialist certificate/diploma plus 2 to 3 years’ experience
Some judgment is required to choose from a variety of alternatives to determine report configuration and data sourcing
Problem solving involves independent analysis of readily available facts, a nalytical capability is required to interpret information requests and convert them into meaningful reports
Creative problem solving involves independent thinking and analysis/artistic flair required to deal with existing methods
Provides input on priorities and policies directly affecting their role
Verbal and written communication skills are required to deal with information that is typically detailed and subject to interpretation with the purpose of advising, guide, influence or acquire resources
Experience with database programs and language (Access or similar) and/or transport operating systems (TMW or similar) is required
Attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy of performance and activity reports, payroll, and owner operator compensation
Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Working Conditions: Job is performed in a clean, well-lit workplace, devoid of hazards
The level of challenge corresponds with carrying out actions that are somewhat varied and non-routine
Deadlines require flexibility and the ability to set appropriate priorities
Some shifting of priorities or tasks done in a manageable fashion
