Serve families in need as a Family Support Worker at McMan Calgary & Area. This contract role focuses on providing essential in-home support, counselling, and referrals to at-risk families.
You will play a pivotal role in the Family Development Program, conducting home visits and collaborating with families to establish goals. The ideal candidate will possess solid crisis management skills and a commitment to empowering individuals. Your experience with culturally diverse populations and complex family dynamics will ensure meaningful support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide supportive counselling and goal planning in home visits
• Advocate for families needing community services
• Document interactions in electronic systems effectively
• Perform assessments and utilize assessment tools
• Participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours support
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or similar
• At least three years in family support roles
• Proficiency in child development knowledge
• Familiarity with domestic violence and mental health challenges
• Valid First Aid and police background checks
