Be a vital part of The Salvation Army as a Casual Women's Peer Support Worker in Vancouver. Provide assistance and supervision to women in a residential treatment program.
In this on-call position, you will work collaboratively under the Treatment Assistant Manager to support clients and facilitate group therapy sessions. Alongside maintaining safety and confidentiality, you will navigate challenging situations with patience and understanding. Your role is crucial in helping clients build stability in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and support clients during shifts
• Document client interactions and observations
• Lead Step-Work groups focused on recovery
• Ensure compliance with treatment guidelines
• Administer evening and morning medications
Requirements:
• Relevant experience working with women clients
• Current Peer Support Worker Certification preferred
• Knowledge of recovery models and support systems
• Ability to handle potentially crisis situations
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
